Takeoff was the youngest member of Migos, whose songs “Versace” and “Bad and Boujee” became major streaming hits and whose 2017 sophomore album, Culture, topped the pop charts in both the United States and Canada.
Along with his contributions to Migos, Takeoff released his solo full-length debut, The Last Rocket, in 2018, along with singles such as “Crypto,” a collaboration with 2022 Rich the Kid. In 2022, he also released a full album titled Only Built for Infinity Links with fellow Migos member Quavo.

Finally, in August of 2011, Polo Club released their first full-length project, Juug Season, a mixtape. They followed up with another mixtape in June 2012. During this time, the group’s name was changed to Migos.
Fame finally knocked on Takeoff’s door in 2013, when Migos’ single Versace went viral. The song made its way around the music industry, eventually reaching number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States. Drake, a Canadian rapper, remixed the song and performed it at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards later that year.
Migos released their mixtape Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas)’ following the success of their first hit single, Versace. The album received widespread critical acclaim, earning an 8 out of 10 from Spin Magazine’s Brandon Soderberg.
They began performing on prestigious platforms, such as the Hot 109.7 radio station’s birthday bash. Versache and Y.R.N. were mentioned in a number of notable hip-hop publications by the end of 2013, including Spin Magazine, Rolling Stone, and Pitchfork.
